Mylab launches self-use Covid test kits at chemists

A self-use rapid test kit for Covid-19 with results available in 15 minutes will now be available atpharmaciesandFlipkart.

Pune-based Mylab Discovery Solutions on Thursday announced the commercial launch of its Covid-19 self-test kit, CoviSelf TM.

The kits, which will be available at Rs 250, are approved by the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR). This is the first test kit for Covid-19 that can be self-administered at home available in India.

“This indigenous test kit will be distributed through to 95% of the PIN codes in the county and will be available over- the-counter at pharmacies and drugstores across India. Individuals can also order it online through India’s homegrown e-commerce marketplace, Flipkart,” the company said in a statement.

Mylab Discovery Solutions will be rolling out one million self-test Covid kits starting Thursday.
